Yeah, I don't know what year they started using Firebirds or Trans Ams (they didn't use Camaros--I remember that much) but after 2004 they started using 2005+ Mustangs.

I probably should have paid more attention to them for my site, but they weren't made from Camaros, so they rarely came up in my searches.

I've actually only saved pictures of one of them as far as I know... I do have a lot of pictures of this one though. It's a 2002.

As far as I know, Avanti only sold completed cars, so it's likely that all of them were Trans Ams or Formulas with interior add-ons.

Here is an updated picture of the project car.

The clear coat still has to be buffed out and the wheels changed but it is getting much closer.

Yours is looking alot better than what the kit originally appeared to be. I look forward to seeing it done!

Honestly, I'm not a fan of this for a camaro. The only thing that I do like are those door panels, very nice setup. I think the kits that they have done with the Corvettes are the way to go if you really want to do this. Those end up looking a whole alot better, and actually look like it could have been a factory vehicle. Check this out if you haven't seen it before.

nice work! IMO it would look better with the front raised up some, even .5" would make it look better. or maybe just adding a rear valence to it, it just looks to high in the rear.
also any reason you choose a camaro and not a firebird? the bulge before the mirrors doesn't really fit the car, just my .02, nice job tho.
edit: could you post a rear pic? curious to see the back
