Talking Z28 Overlays, Rear Camaro Inserts and the such

Hey guys. Ok, I own a '97 Z28. It's SOLID black. The Z-28 emblems are even black. It has the factory 16" chrome rims and I added 5% window tint all the way around. But, I'm sort of tired of that look so thanks to suggestions on here I've decided to let Brent at http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/vinyl/vinyl.htm hook me up. I plan on getting the Z28 decal vinyl overlays, the rear Camaro inserts, a Camaro banner across the windshield and I found a decal for the back that says Import Killer. However, I'm going crazy on choosing a color that would compliment my car. Here's where I'm at so far:

Hugger Orange
White
Red
Silver
Green
Red

I also thought about getting the reflective overlays that appear black during the day but are reflective at night in order to maintain the stealth look. Opinions on what color I should go with are appreciated. Pics of the car are below. Page 2 has the best ones.

Nice car. I'd go with the silver overlays too.

My car has the black emblems as well, but I like them because they blend in well. I put black inserts in the rear and they look great when it's bright out. I don't like "loud" appearance accents on my car.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you get 377 RWTQ out of your car?

personally im a chrome kinda guy. i just think it makes your car stand out that much more. i put the chrome overlays on my car and couldn't be happier with my decision, especially since it matches my chrome rims well which i believe you said you have chrome rims. take a look at my car...pics are in the sig.

I agree with the chrome thing- especially on a black car. But I'm still looking for chrome badges... I hear they're in the works somewhere.

Personally, I think you shouldn't do silver. Everyone with black cars accent in silver. Chrome would look okay. I think you should do a different color, maybe HO or blue.

Hey guys. Thanks for all of your opinions. Here is what I decided to go with:

Rear CAMARO inserts in Orange:
Z28 overlays in Orange:
Rear bowtie overlay in Orange:
3rd Brake light overlay in Black and reads "Z28":
Windshield banner in Orange that says CAMARO
I also found an Orange Vinyl piece on Ebay that says "Import Killer". I ordered that last night and plan on putting it on the trunk lid right under where it says Camaro.

I agree with PurplePonyEtr that alot of people with Black Z's have silver emblem and overlays. I decided to go with the above because I thought it'd be a little different. It may be hideous when I get it on the car but if it is I'll take it off and try another color. I'll post pics when I get through. I just got tired of my present "stealth" look and I heard "knight rider" so much I'm about to puke..ha!

I don't know if it is too late but I think yellow on black looks pretty dope. I did my TA with this scheme (pics are in the sig). Hugger sounds pretty good as well. Be sure to post some pics when it's all done!

Later,

Mike

I like the idea of going with Hugger Orange to accent the black. But the "import killer" decal is lame.

You may be right about the Import Killer Decal. I'll try it anyway and see how it looks on the car. I'll take pics of it after everything is on and post them. Thanks for all the opinions.
