Angry Z28 Badges

Does anyone know where i could get some chrome or silver looking Z28 badges and not pay $100 for them like how RkSport wants for them. I admit they do have some very nice badges, but not at like $40 for each. I'm looking for the two behind the front wheels and the one underneath the passenger brake light. I've seen the vinyl overlays, but i'm fearfull that they might peel off or might come up on the edges.

Does anyone own those, how long have you had them and how are they holding up?

I'm fearful that i might just have to bite the bullet and shell out the money for what i want

?????

I don't realy know any place but RKSports but i would not recommend the overlays. they start to peel after the first car wash. they don't come out but all the sharp corners on them getting alot of crap stucked undernees of them. plus they are a pain in the @ss to put on.

All of the really QUALITY emblems I found when looking to replace the nearly 'invisible" Z28 emblems on my black car, were in the $30-$40 each price. I guess it's a captive audience thing. I ended up using the '69 vintage Z/28 emblem and get many comments on them. They really stand out on these black fenders.

You're right, that does stand out. It looks very good. You could also pass as a sleeper, cause people that know camaros would think it was a V6 with those badges.

Thumbs up

I took my badges off today........after speaking with my mom, she told me about this paint that adds a silver/chrome finish to anything. She showed me these candle stands, they look like polished aluminum! So i took some dental floss and took the badges off. Cleaned them and put a first coat and left them to dry. The can said to wait about 4 hours to fully dry, i'll put another coat on tomorrow and see if it'll need anymore. It looked pretty cool so far, i'll be sure to post some pics on how it comes out as soon as i can. The paint is made by Krylon and costs about $3, if i mess up i can always cruise down to the local junkyard and get some more badges.
