Z06 Rims
Z06 Rims
I was looking into getting Z06 Rims and was wondering what offset that I should get. On http://www.wheelreplicas.com/z06.htm they have a set "17 x 9.5 / 18 x 10.5" and was was wondering if they would fit because they have a different offset than the one above.

For the 10.5" wide wheels, the 56mm they show should be OK - that is about a 7.92" backspace. I use 50mm offset with 11" wide wheels in the back - 7.93" backspace, so it looks like they have the correct numbers.
A caution... some cars require light hammering of the inner fenders with a 7.93" backspace, and the corner of the jounce bumper bracket may catch the inside of the wheel when the axle goes to full drop. Varies a lot from car to car. I know mine has been hammered and the jounce bumper bracket ground down.
With a 10.5" wide wheel, you might want to consider the use of a very thin spacer plate to keep the tires away from the inner fenders if they start to rub.
I believe the "real" Z06 10.5" wheels have a 65mm offset, which would be more of a problem, but people here are running them, so the problem can be solved, or isn't as bad as the numbers make it seem........
