I'm kinda on the fence about them myself too...but who am i to call them ricey..I've got black powdercoated covers with flames etcheded into them.

They would be ok with out the lettering over the oil cap. But if I were the op I would strip them down and pc them a nicer color and leave the lettering off.

They aren't bad, but they need some definition like a black border or something I feel. The blue on white just looks a bit unfinished IMO. I like the creativity and I have a blue 383...so this is in my ball park, it just looks a little bit unfinished. If you want to do it though, I say go for it...its your car. Plus having it in the engine bay will take the focus away from it some. Props for trying something different. Bottom line is u gotta do what you want!

I have a blue 383 too but I think my blac pc valve covers loo just fine.
