YearOne emblem problem...

I'm really confused about the YearOne emblems they have! Ok.. my 96 SS doesn't have the rear SS with Bowtie emblem (wasn't there when I bought it used for whatever reason) but anyways.. if you go here EDIT: sorry that link doesn't take you exactly to where I'm talking about.. so you have to go to "Body" on the side and then under Emblems & Decals go to 1982-2002 Camaro Emblems to get to the page I'm talking about.. thanks

http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/f...ain2.asp?cat=G

It gives a list of their 1982-2002 Camaro emblems.. so go to the bottom where they have the SS ones.. specificaly the bottom 4.. first of all the red emblem (which is the one I need cuz my car is black) is over $10 more, why?? Oh well, if thats their price there is nothing I can do.. but I have another problem with the bottom 4. The bottom two have slightly different descriptions

1) "1998-2002 SS rear bumper emblem, red, GM." and
2) "1998-2002 SS fender emblem, red, GM."

So ok I assumed the rear bumper emblem was for the back tail light.. the SS with Bowtie correct?? and that the fender emblem was for the front fender which just says SS.. but then how can two different things have the exact same part number?? Both are R825. It just isn't making sense to me... Is there something I missing? Thanks for your help guys.. let me know if I forgot to mension something..

Trevor

But then why would they have two different discriptions.. one says rear bumper and the other says for the fender.. but the same part #.... hmm?

Yeah i see your point, but i believe they are the same part. Just have two different discriptions for when you look them up in a part index. Just like bulb 194, for a parts index. It is listed as many different locations, ex. ash tray bulb-194, glove box-194. they both have the same part number as well.

fbird is absolutely right. Otherwise...someone would be saying "how come you can buy the part for the SS emblem for the fender, but not the bumper?!?!?!" or vice versa.

Question

I bought some SS emblems from them and they were all the same. Came in the original GM baggie with all the same part numbers. I had to buy the bowtie seperately.

Yup, from what I understand, the bowtie is a different part # all together.
