Xenon Bulb help
I can give you the E-mail address of a company that sells DOT/SAE approved Xenon headlights for the 1993-1997 T/A. THey use the stock wattage rating of 55/65 watts so it won't burn up your lights or electrical wiring like those cheap ricer bulbs. They are kinda expensive though, $60 for both last time I checked. THey are crystal/diamond looking lights. They look BAD ***.and best of all, I E-mailed several owners who used them and they reported NO problems whatsoever. Now the only problem is finding a company that makes bluish/Xenon looking Foglights.
the new summitt has a ricer section in it, and they have a 4x6" headlight replacement/conversion. my friend just bought this for his s10 and they look identical to the firebirds. they used an h4 bulb and all factory mounting hardware. he purchased separately the 95/125 watt bulbs and they scream. feel sorry for anyone on the other side of the road.
The one your friend bought will end up frying his wires and burning things up. The stock wattage rating for the Firebird/Trans AM is 55/65W for low and high respectively.
Additonally, the bulbs i can get for you are SAE/DOT safe MAINLY because they use a "lamp glove" Which keeps them from blinding other drivers.

very true. his are also illegal and if he gets pulled over could get something like reckless driving or endangerment. still, they look good and perform well and he only paid 65 for the lights and bulbs. the sealed beams alone costs 50-60 and they suck.
