Would this be cool appearance-wise?

Would this be cool appearance-wise?

I've been researching valve covers lately. Looking for something that isn't too common or generic looking. So yesterday I'm surfing through some sites and happened across a photo shoot for an old skool '31 Ford Highboy Roadster that had been completely cherried out. As I'm reading through the description I notice that the valve covers they used on the 350 they put in this car are from a 1970 Gen I LT1 engine. Here's what they look like on the engine:

Two things:

1. I've got a set of billet centerbolt to perimeter bolt valve cover adapters, so bolting these on isn't a problem.

2. My bracket setup is such that my alternator is no longer in front of the passenger side valve cover, so "notching and grinding" won't be necessary for these to fit.

So what do you guys think of the idea of a set of these valve covers from an original LT1 engine on a new LT1?

Well, would it be easier to have the stock ones chromed and have Brent make you some decals?

If you have an LT1 you need a cover with the bolts in the center of it. Those wouldn't fit.

Injuneer says most the ones he's seen leak. That scared me away. There are better options.

I've been kicking around getting the LT4 covers but I really want crome covers.

I like them, they would be a nice upgrade if you can get them to work. I never understood why there wasn't more options for LT1 valve covers?
