Hey guys, my car has a ton of rock chips, and the paint really looks like crap. I was wondering how much it is going to cost me to paint my car a different color. It is silver right now, and I was thinking either black or blue would look awesome.

 

There's no real way to say for sure, but I'm sure somewhere in the area of 2-3 thousand dollars for a good paintjob is a safe bet.

 

2-3 will get you a pretty decent paint. Your looking at 4-6 for something that is pretty nice. I've seen cars that have gotten 10k + but those are absolutley beautiful. I'd say expect to pay 4 or 5 if you don't plan on doing a single thing other then driving it to the place and driving it out. For that price though it will be a really great looking car.

If you do the prep work yourself it'll cut the cost down considerably.
