Wiring Trans Am Seats in a Camaro

I picked up some leather TA seats this weekend, but have one problem:

My driver's seat doesn't plug right in to the floor.

I think I'm missing the wiring harness that goes from the driver's seat to the passenger's seat. For those who are familier with the seats: Is that harness required to connect the driver's seat to the power connecter in the floor?

Also, what would it take to get the lumbar to work? I saw the two rubber hoses that come off each seat, what is needed for that to work correctly in a Camaro?

If you get the TA wiring harness it will plug right into your camaro plug on the floor and it goes from the drivers seat to the pass. seat. The Air lines are also part of the wiring harness. Its all in one harness. I'd suggest getting that harness as it'll make your setup plug right in and work as a factory setup.

I just did a quick search on ebay and here is the beast. You can see the airline harness in it as well. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Pwr-S...spagenameZWDVW

Re: Wiring Trans Am Seats in a Camaro

What can i say we both have good taste. I ended up wiring up my TA seat by splicing the wires and stuff then the guy i bought the seat from gave me the harness and i found out it was just a plug and play setup, so i had to splice my wiring back together. There shouldn't really be any rubber hoses hanging loose on the seats right now. There should only be one plastic line with a female connector on it. If there are rubber hoses hanging down from the seat then they probably just came lose from the air motor. It happens often. If so just plug them back on. There are no clamps that hold the hoses on and they usually fall off the motor when you **** the seat all the way forward.

Thanks for the info, I'll take a look at it.

Where are the air motors?

I believe there is only one air motor under the drivers seat, and on the pass. side there is what looks to be an air motor under it but i think it only distributes the air. I believe the only air motor is under the drivers side and when you hit the switch on the pass side it will turn on the drivers motor and fill up the pass. seat. Thats why you need that air harness. Its been a long time since i've used the pass. side air, thats why i'm not 100% sure.

Gotcha, now I just have to wait for the guy I got the seats from to pull it from his car.

I was able to take the controls off my camaro driver's seat and plug it into the new seat so I can adjust it. No more hitting the turn signal with my left knee!
