Wiring Indiglo Gauges

Ok, so Im trying wire up my indiglo gauges but it isn't going to hot. I know you connect the red power wire to the brown headlight control wire. I stripped the brown one and wrapped the red one around it (not sure if thats how you do it, probably not because its not working, so how do you?). The black wire is just the ground but im not sure I used a good enough ground. So basically what am I doing wrong. How do I splice into the brown power wire and what should I use for a ground? Thanks in advance.

You turned the headlight switch on to see if it lit up, right? You might not be able to see it lit in the daylight if it's set to the lowest light setting on the pad... I connected mine the same as you... Red to the brown and black to a good ground.

Went over it a couple more times, turned out to be a bad ground.

Yeah, that happened to me but then I just grounded it to the bottom of the steering column. There is a bolt right there that is perfect. Post some pics
