when i put my Wings West w-type kit on i didn't even bother with putting on the airdam (or some call it the air deflector), i didn't want to hear it constantly scrapin everywhere i went.
and , no i haven't had any problem with the car over heating !

Chucky95 your car is REALLY low and you have the W-type kit. Does your Wings West nose hit anything? Is it scraped at all? I want to lower my car to get ride of the wheel well gap but i'm afraid, I ground out on everything now I can't imagine if I lower it. I'm afraid that if I switch back to the factory air dam the front nose will hit the ground instead of the airdam and my front will get all messed up. So far only my airdam has hit everything and it saves the front of my car from hitting the ground.

1. no more parking the nose over parking blocks, or curbs! (very very hard habit to break!)
2. no more parking lots with speed bumps!
3.take entrances and exits (ramps) from parking lots and driveways at an angle.
ETC.

haven't scraped the nose yet !

The front air deflector u mean right?
If so
You need the longer piece so the car doesnt overheat. I have the DGM front piece that uses the stock air deflector

As stated, you will get accustom to it eventually. You'll learn to take driveways and speed bumps slowly, and at an angle. You will need to leave it in place, because 99.9% of people end up with cars that over-heat if it is ever removed. The stock air dam is not just big enough to use with the ground effects.

You will also eventually find that in time the air dam will become brittle, and one day you'll scrape it on the driveway just like you have a million times before,... but this time it will break off like the cheap piece of plastic that it is.

Due to the over-heating problem, you will be unable to drive your car until you get a new one. You will call wings west to order a new one, only to discover that it is a $50.00 part... on top of which, they will charge you $25.00 shipping. The happy ***** on the phone will promise it will be on your doorstep in 3 days... but it will not be. He lied. You will spend the next 11 days trying, and failing, to fabricate a temporary air dam on your own so you can at least drive your car to the grocery store and back. You will be unsuccessful.

When your replacement air dam finally comes in the mail, you will swear that $75 is a small price to pay, and cuss yourself for ever thinking otherwise. You will happily crawl under your car to re-attach it. You will then learn to take driveways and speedbumps even MORE carefully, and even MORE slowly than before. It will be like a tiny celebration every time you you make it over a spot in the road that you KNOW you should scrape on, but do not. You will master every road in your town.

Eventually, it will be like second nature. You will forget the special skill and mastery it takes to drive a car with grounds, and you will make the mistake of letting a friend drive your car. They will hit a parking block, and totally screw everything up.
You will want to kill them.

Good luck.
