window tinting yourself???

ok well i had tint on all my windows but i had to remove it from the drivers side and passenger side to pass inspection . the back is still on so all i have to do is the other 2. anyone know any tricks on how to do it. i did do it myself on my blazer a long time ago and it came out good but the 2 times i have tried to do it on the camaro i have failed . i really dont want to pay $70 again just to have to take it off next year again.

Not a good idea.

Spend the $ and get them done right.

actually tinting out side windows is extremely easy!! i did it on my old 95Z. came out decent. my neighbor does tinting professionally so he did mine in 5% for $80. all you have to do in order to do the sides is wet the wondow and film.... place it on the outside of the window, and cut out the shape. then we the inside of the window, pull off the clear plastic off the film and put it on the inside of the window. use a squeegie thing to push out all the water. u need to use a heat gun or a blow dryer to get the wrinkles out around the outside of the window, that keeps moving when u try to push out the water.

i say go for it. give it a shot. the film is cheap, and if you have to pull it off again, no sense of having it professionally done!!

..... the back window is a WHOLE different story!!!!

You don't tint the outside...that's how you measure your tint, and make cuts because it is easier. Once you have cut your tint to FIT the Outside....you APPLY it on the INSIDE. I thought you said you have done tint before?

My mistake...you weren't the one that said you had done tint before. Anyways...that's how you do it.
