Hi I currently have 20% on my rear window and 35% on my side windows... The legal tint in my state is 35% On all windows. I have never been stopped for my 20% on my back window. I was recently considering getting either 25%, 20% or 15% on my side windows... I have also thought of tinting my windshield down to the AS-1 line on the windshield (which is the legal limit for my state) This is where I can beat the system, as most car's the AS-1 line is about 6" from the top of the windshield, but on our camaro's It's more like 10" from the top... I was thinking of doing 15% with that... Any opinions???

My friend has a Caddie STS with 20% all around and he has never been pulled over for it.

 

my sisters have had 20% on there cars for years and havnt got pulled. i have it on my truck and am gettin it on my camaro thursday. im puttin 20% all around. in Nc i think the back window can be as dark as you want it, just the side windows are only legal if it is 35%.

 

i used to have a mustand with 3%. I got many tickets for it, but the cop usually said, "I can give you a ticket for this, but I'm only goingb to give you one for illegal tints." Was never pulled over for dark tints. Have like 17% on my LT1, and at night its nearly impossible to see when I'm, turning or backing up

 

I have 20% over factory tint which comes out to 15-17% and have never been pulled over. I believe the limit is 25% in my state or something like that.

I also have the top part on the front windshield done.

5% all around. You should be able to go as dark as you want on the rear and still be legal.

 

I have 15% all around, and never had a problem.. But of course my car is reg to another state than the 1 im living in. So they reall cant say a thing..

 

I know here in VA the only way to have a tint thats ilegal and get away with it is to go to your doc and get him to give you some kind of medical reason for the tinits. My buddy now "has" photosensativity. The doc rights you up something and u do to the DMV. They put it on info and if your ever pulled over you show him your DL and he check in computer and your fine. Im sure there are a number of things you could fake having.

 

i have 15% all the way around as well, i have been pulled over for it twice, but i was lucky enough to have two really cool officers who let me go. I fixed the problem by rolling down the windows

 

I had 5% all the way around including the front for a good 5 or 6 inches from the top. I've never been pulled over but it was illegal. You learn to roll down the window and look out it at night to back up.

 

15% on my old 3rd gen. Never pulled over and it's dark enough for me anyhow...

 

I have 15% all around, which I find dark enough at night, but during the day, especially with the sunshades or t-tops out, you can see through it pretty clear.

I see a cop, I drop the window. I have gotten, on average, maybe 1 ticket per year of owning the car. if that. They usually have other things to worry about.

I want to upgrade to 10% or so.
