Hey,

I've got an appointment tomorrow to get my windows tinted. What do you guys recommend on the tint level? I believe in Ohio the legal limit is 50% light transmission. I thik I'm going to go 30% light transmission.

Any suggestions on what looks best (Red 99 Camaro).

Here in SC, legal limit is 35%. I have a Red Camaro also, it looks pretty good, would probably look better if it was a shade darker. But, I have an allergic reaction to the law when it comes to stupid stuff like how dark the tint is on a vehicle. Also, I can see fairly well through the tint at night, not too dark. Hope this helps.

 

I'll probably go with 30%, really dark looks great on the red camaros

 

i'd proabably go with 30% anything less is too light =)

 

You might even want to go a little darker than that, like 20-15% I was gonna get 30 until I put up a post looking for some pictures of what people had and I loved the darker tint especially for a black car. But then again it depends on how picky the cops are in Ohio.

 

They're incredibly picky. I doubt they'd pull me over solely for window tint though. I don't really drive fast, so I don't get pulled over for other thigs.

Even if I did, I believe it's just a $50 charge for "dangerous vehicle" - no big deal.

 

I have seen the 30-35% on a camaro and it looks good....blends in nicely and not a pain to see out of. That would be my reccomendation.

 

I have 35% tint on my camaro (it is the legal limit in VA). I have no trouble seeing out at night and it makes a noticable difference in the day when you are driving. But if you are doing it for looks i would say get something a little darker than 35% because unless you are at the right angle you can see in pretty easy.
