id use something that strechs more like a urathane base. your dash can expand when its hot and im sure all the 3rd gen guys know what im talking about. if you use bondo its gonna most likely seperate from the plastic one day down the road. auto parts stores have dash repair kits but i donno how good they are. what color is the part at hand?

I took my dash out (the one closest to the windshield) and fiberglassed the back of it. After that, I covered it in vinyl. I also broke out the slats for the defrost vent and put some wire mesh in it's place. If you want to see, check out my cardomain page. There's also a thread about this very subject that I posted in with a couple pictures.

if you fiberglass it them it will work only b/c the platsic will expand and shring under the fiberglass and the fiberglass wont give so thats a good option to go with. iv seen alot of interiors that were fiberglasses over and it looked really good. even seen rhino liner.... guess you wouldnt have to worrie about rock chips in your interior.

Bondo is for metal only. Use fiberglass as said above.

Where do you get the fiberglass from? I recovered my dash awhile ago, but it is cracking more and I need to do something to reinforce the back. I'm also changing the cover back to the stock color, black just looks out of place.

My front bumper had some holes in it from the previous owner because of the license plate holder and I sanded down the area and applied small amount of bondo to the holes and I looked the next day and it was cracking already. I since decided to get hold of a new bumper.
