Angry Why Won't The LED's In My Rear Turn Signals Work?

A few months ago I bought a set of 4 LED's for the taillights. 2 for the brake lights and 2 for the turn signals. I counldn't get the turnsignals to work, so I was told that I needed an electronic flasher. I just bought one yesterday (Tridon/Stant EL12) and put it in. I put the LED's in and they work with the hazards but not with the turn signals. When I turn the turnsignals on, all they do is stay light up instead of flashing. WTF is the deal here? I've heard of people using LED's all of the time. ANY help or ideas are appreciated. Thanks in advance

There is 2 flashers

one for turnsignals one for hazards
the hazards is the one right in your face the turn signal is up and to the right by the radio

Its a 6ohm resistor with a heatsink. What's that, like 24 watts?

yep... might as well leave the bulbs in instead. No current draw savings.

If you go to LED's, get electronic flashers and save yourself 2amps draw per bulb. (about 20amps but doing all the front and rear signal lights).

Only catch might be the 3rd brake light bulbs. Might want to keep those as stock (or go LED and use the resistor)... I'm not sure if they will work as LED's... might screw up your ABS. Doesn't hurt to try though.

I was planning on running some LED's in my front blinkers, since I have the clear corners. Does this mean I will have to use LEDs in the tail-light blinkers as well? I assume that if I change the flashers, it's going to screw up the regular rear turnsignal bulbs...?

Nope shouldn't screw up anything. I've got LED's in the rears and not in the fronts. So I don't see why having the LED's vice versa would change anything.

I would agree with Steve, just get the electronic flasher and not the resistor. The LED's help by reducing current draw and putting less straing on your wiring, they are reduce heat from not haveing a filiment. Adding a resistor, puts the current back up and moves the heat source from somewhere that was designed for it to somewhere that mey not be and cause it to start a fire if not careful.

Yep, I've got LEDs in the front and not the back, and it works fine
I do plan on changing the back ones to LEDs too eventually.

Question

Anyone have pics of the LEDs? I am interested to see what they look like on the car.

Here are a couple of quick snaps. They don't look as good in the photos as they do in person. But you can get a basic idea of what they look like. The 4 middle bulbs are LEDs and the 2 outer lights are actual bulbs that need to be swapped out yet. The LED's give off a direct beam of light instead of reflecting off of the inside of the lens. They also give off an actual red color instead of a pinkish glow. They're kinda neat because instead of the whole housing being lit up, they look like 4 little dots. Anyway, I'm done yapping. Here are the pics.

I went and bought it, instaled it and it works. And I do recomend it because it a cheap solution.
And Steve - dont be a smartass unless you did it yourself and know for sure if it works or not.
