I tried rolling my power window up today and it got about half way and went crashing down. The motor still runs but it makes a grinding type noise. I was able to reach down in the window slot and pull it up with the assistance of the motor but after driving a little bit it came crashing down again. Any ideas what the problem could be and how would I fix it?

you need to pop the door panel and see what broke, if I remember right they use a plastic tape that moves the window up and down, sounds like it broke.
