Who makes this hood?

I'm usually not a fan of cowl induction hoods, but this one looks pretty good. Who makes it? Is there a version that looks like it, but doesn't have a cowl? (sort of like a stock Camaro hood without the fake air inlets?)

I really like this car, I found it on ebay... looks a lot like what I would want if we had a 3rd Camaro.

Re: Who makes this hood?

Damn... Harwood doesn't make a version without the cowl-lift area. What is the hood made of that they do sell? Fiberglass? Steel?

And there is the 2.5 cowl hood for the 93-97 Camaro's.

Its made of fiberglass

Re: Who makes this hood?

Do you have any regrets about getting it? Does it rattle at highway speed? Is it high quality? Does it fit well without a lot of prep?

Re: Who makes this hood?

I love mine. It fit pretty good too. Only had to adjust the fenders a little along with the hood stops. Here are some pics of mine.

Re: Who makes this hood?

How is the underside of the hood? I've always loved that hood, but I'm thinking of doing a single plane swap and wondered if it would give the added clearance needed. If not then I would have to go with something like a stock SS hood or something.

Shutup.... do you want 40,000,000 people running around with these hoods like the SS and Cowl induction?

The hoods are poor quality and they don't have good fitment or clearance... plus I heard they have been on backorder for a some months.

Re: Who makes this hood?

Wow! Your car looks amazing silverz28! It looks like what our '95 Z28 looked like before it became a daily driver 5 years ago .

The hood looks pretty cool, but I think the cowl is too high for my taste. I think I would love it if it wasn't much of a cowl at all... sort of like how the new Corvettes have that raised area in the middle that is just there to look cool (I think).

Thanks a lot for the pics though!

Re: Who makes this hood?

I love my hood with no regrets at all. As far as it being to tall, it's only a 2 1/2 cowl. If you think that's bad try a 5" on a fox body mustang. I couldn't see crap with it.

Re: Who makes this hood?

Yeah, I agree that it isn't particularly tall, but I think I'm looking for something maybe only 1" and nonfunctional. Sort of like a Jaguar XK8 hood (but wider raised area) or the new Corvette's.

Something like this: (please excuse the quick and sloppy photoshop work)

I was hoping that the company who made the hood on the sky blue car made one more similar to my photochop.
