Hi everyone,

here is the presumed first of the 3 Camaros V8 (all LT1) ever registered* in New Caledonia, his owner is also a very good friend of us.
His car is currently on a engine rebuild with a some interesting upgrades, and will have a paint job after that to refresh yellow and repair the front spoiler.

Robin

*: I will receive from registration dept official camaro registry in New Caledonia to know how many and which camaros have been sold here. For the moment we counted 3 V8 LT1, and 8/10 V6.

Hi Guys,

Finally, I got the Camaro official registration summary for New Caledonia market :

1995 :
2 V6 3.4L cab
2 V6 3.4L coupé
1 V8 5.7L coupé (the yellow)

1996 :
1 V6 3.8L coupé
1 V8 5.7L coupé (the black)

1997 :
1 V8 5.7L coupé (the white)

1998 :
2 V6 3.8L cab
1 V6 3.8L coupé

1999 :
2 V6 3.8L coupe

That makes 13 Camaros ever registered in New Caledonia, among which only 3 are V8s and all LT1/coupés/A4.

That's all folks !

Robin

I just looked at your city on Google Earth. Wow, you guys are a long way away. You must get lots of attention with those f-body,s around town and it looks like a nice place to visit one day if I ever get to Australia. What language is spoken there? How long does it take to get there from Australia? Your cars look great by the way!

Thank you !

Our official language is French as we (still) depend from France. It takes 2h30 form Sydney or only 1h30 from Brisbane to visit us

Our cars get a lot of attention, as they are very rare. Like a Peugeot in your country...haha (definitely not the same perfs...)

Robin

P.S: Pierre I know your car isn't any more A4, but it started its glorious life on the production line with !

main langage here is French. It takes about 2 hours by plane to come here from Australia (depending on the city you come from).

I beleive it is a lovely country to visit, but you must be aware we're not very good for tourism. Anyway, you can ask us before coming about what best to do and where to get it. I personnaly would enjoy to help.

We have also other friends with US cars. Some of my very good friends also have : a 68 Chevelle with 454, a beautiful Barracuda with 340, a Javelin 401 SST, ... (and also Mustangs but who care ?). So if you come here and want to see nice cars (at least i beleive they are), just ask and we can organize some barbecue (we taste Jack Daniel's too).

i've been to USA the 2 last years. I've very good memories from my USA trips and from people I met there. If you taste Australia, I love to see Drag events in Australia (and NEw Zealand too). Go for Australia "WinterNationals" if you like Drag Racing.

Just to end, i like also fast Harleys and I have a nice 88 ci Sportster i Built some years ago.

Do you guys have enough room to enjoy your cars? Are there any racing or competition venues for you to enjoy?

I beleive you can enjoy your car anywhere.

On the other side, i also beleive there are a lot of place more enjoyable for cars than our island.

Events : we had 2 drag racing events for bike, 1 for car. I was in both. Then it stops because of political reasons.

We are waiting for a track for years ... who knows ? Maybe i will see it before i got too old. Tahiti has one and is a smaller island than us .... so i just keep hope.
