Not to get off topic but...

When is this car show that Whistler is going to display his c5 light panel? I went through all the other threads about it but never seen a date. Just wanting to see this thing! Also does he have a set date yet on when his c5 rear bumper panel will be done either? Thanks

The C5 lights are in progress, he has quite a few things going on besides work and a life. Give him time, it will get done.

The rear panel is done I just gotta get somebody to take some pics. This week some time.

One addition to the headlights... make sure the headlight is centered in the oven. If you get it too close to the top or bottom, you'll put a dark spot on the plastic. Also the last set I did I turned it up to 210 and the glue came off a little softer.

These all were done on an electric stove. I'm pretty sure a gas one would be fine... but proceed at your own risk.

The first set I did were an experimental set that were crappy faded headlights. I cranked up the temp. 10' at a time for research and the plastic started to melt at around 280' FYI.

And dont pry too hard on the lens, or the plastic part on the headlight itself will chip. If it's not coming off easy, heat it up a little longer.

Is it ok to paint the sides of the light deflector(on the walls of where the bulb is, has little lines on it) black. Won't this hurt the light projection. I have seen others do it, but only on the outside part and left the whole inside peice as the chrome reflector.
