ok so my sony headunit is xm ready and im getting ready to buy the tuner and im wondering where you mounted it.

 

Behind the glove compartment. just ran the antenna wire from the spoiler (internal) over the headliner, down passanger side a-pillar, into dash, and into the box.

 

In the back behind the drivers side panel. It is a Pioneer unit so I just had to run the IPBUS cable to the headunit. Works good. The antenna is inside the spoiler. I ran the wires through the rubber boot so you can't even tell that there is an kind of sat system anywhere.

 

You DON'T mount an XM radio! You toss it in the garbage and get Sirius and HOWARD STERN! LOL JK I have the Sirius receiver that just sends the signal to my regular radio, so I can't help you.....
