Where can you find decent tips ???

Okay, plenty of mufflers to choose from but with exception of the Borla setup and the Ovals (extra option) of GMMG i don't find ANY of the other tips worth looking at (Hooker, SLP, Corsa, etc.)

They somehow look too long or Mustang like or simply to Generic.

Especially since i have a GFX kit i want it to compliment the rear valence and so far i only like the borla tips and the oval ones that can ONLY be bought with the chambered GMMG exhaust.
Ofcourse i haven't seen all Tips that could be used for our applications so who can point me towards some exiting exhaust tips ???

I've got some stockers that are chrome plated. Picked em up off the forum a while back. I'm sure you could just clean yours up and have em dipped.

You can kinda see them here:

Re: Where can you find decent tips ???

Does the body kit have the provisions or "slots" for tips?

Personally, I think Camaros look better without tips at all. I would just get a turn down hidden up behind the bumper. Makes the back look much cleaner since there aren't any provisions for any exhaust tips back there. But if you absolutely want tips, I would get the kind SWEET Z has, because they don't look as out of place as some round ones. But this also depends on what your rear valance looks like.

Re: Where can you find decent tips ???

Thanks guys, but i'm not feeling the factory 'piano' tips.
As for no tips, nah i don't think an American Muscle car should be without tips for some reason.
I must agree that for instance the T/A rear bumper is far more ideal for tips as they compliment the shape of the bumper better but there must be something that i could use .......

I got some 3 1/2" slash cut rolled edge tips on ebay and then had them powder coated a gloss black to match my wheels and tail panel.

I get a lot of compliments on it, i think due to the fact that its something different.

I will have some low milage Borla tips for sale soon. I swapped my borla over to a hooker when I did my LS1 swap. Email me at john
@thunderracing.com and we can work something out if you are interested. I can get some pics as well

Re: Where can you find decent tips ???

I know what you mean Sergio. 4th Gen Camaro's weren't blessed w/ a nice rear for tips. Factory tips and Borla tips are the best looking hands down on a Camaro. I'm in the same boat and I just said the hell w/ it and went back to borla tips. I'm going to put the CME back on minus the tips and put some turn downs and leaving like that w/ the gapping hole in the middle. LOL!

Re: Where can you find decent tips ???

Summit Racing has a good selection of Borla tips. The round or the oval singles look neat.
