What type of store can I source vinyl from locally?

I'm looking for some vinyl to cover over the dot matrix on my rear window to complete my tinting job.

What type of store should I be looking to buy vinyl from?
I checked Fleet Farm and Menards (both simliar to Home Depot type stores), but they either looked at me crazy when i asked for vinyl, or tried to sell me vinyl flooring.

Maybe I'm asking for the wrong thing - but "black vinyl" to me, sounds pretty self explanitory.

Any hints on where I should be looking and what I should be asking for?
Thanks!

I've got rolls of it here and would never try vinyl myself

If I were you, I'd tape it off to the first defroster line and paint it BLACK from the inside. I've known a couple guys who have done this and it works well.

If you look at this picture you can see the top part of the rear window. It is painted from the inside

I've heard of doing that too, but everyone says it's "old school". I took that to mean there are better ways, but maybe the classic way is still the best?

Do you know if they used gloss, semi-gloss or flat for that car?

It would be a huge pain to do that with vinyl I know that for sure and the gloss black vinyl would look the same as gloss black vinyl.

I'm not certain what was used on that car but I *think* it was flat. I have also heard they make special paint for this that can be used but special paint isn't necessary... just need something that will stick to glass
