About how much, how hard, and what would you have to do to reluminate the dashboard interior into blue instead of stock white with LED's? How would you get into and past the consoles in a 98 V6?
All advice greatly appreciated.

The changing over from regular light to LED's takes a long time... I have done this before and still in the process......i changed my door lights and just yesterday changed my light controls over to led........ theres no direct replacement in these applications and usually takes time becuase it all has to be done and held in place custom... and with an LED, there is a very narrow viewing angle, it does not light up a whole area like a light bulb, so they must be aimed perfectly to get the right effect......

*** Question -- Will lightly sanding the led create a larger viewing angle? and is this done by sanding the tip or the whole thing? someone mentioned this is anotrher thread and i was wondering if there is any truth to this....... If this is true, that would make everything much easier*************

it will help a little to sand it, but it will also decrease the light output of the LED.

The Roughing up of the LED creates a "diffuse" surface and refracts the light away from the fairly beam like pattern of most high-power 5mm LEDs.

There are other LEDs out there that can be used, but they take even more work to work with.
