What exactly are the body panels on the 4th gen made of? ...specifically the hood, I vaguley recall the previous owner saying the hood was not steel like the quarter panels.

 

hood is metal except for SS's there composite, the front fenders are plastic, doors composite, rear fenders metal, spoiler fiberglass/same as doors, sailpanel composite.

the 98-02 hoods (excluding SS) I can't remember if they are composite or metal.

EDIT: if you are talking about the car in your sig then yes your stock Z-28 hood is steel. A heavy sum bitch...
