What color is your top? I don't recommend Amour All for cloth tops...is it faded? You may be able to have a shop dye the top...but general cleaning...light duty soap and a lint brush

Definitly don't use Armorall. Use one of the cleaners that have already been suggested. I have a black top and simply spray off the top everytime I wash the car and then from time to time use the cleaner. If you choose to use soap and rag, watch out for the lint. Leanne

This is a great thread.

I notice that my black top collects dust etc.. and I definately don't soap it up because that actually will lighten it. I get the impression that washing it doesn't really remove that dust but kind of hides it.

When you guys powerwash it, does that really solve the problem ?

I don't have a dust build up problem. Simply rinse the top every time you wash and use the convertible top product that you spray on and wipe. This has UV protector. It works well for me. I use the spray once a month in the winter then once a week in the summer. It seems to do the trick.
