I was looking at some pics and I wondered... what do you think was installed where these holes now are?

 

Hopefully not any more of that faux wood trim.

 

I would guess a mount for a satellite radio receiver.

 

Or GPS or a hundered other things. Not an X cop car is it.

Very well could of been. There's no way of knowing. Judging by the distance from the holes, it could of also been aftermarket foglights (like mine has). GPS, iPod bracket, etc. I'd look around the dash area and see if there's any wiring left behind. That'll give you a good idea of what was there. Or just ask him.
