What do you guys think?
I know my car is dirty but here are some pics just so you get the idea.
Blacked out.
Stock 93-96.
Or 97+.
Ive been running around with my tail lights blacked out for about a year now. I blacked them out with VHT niteshades. I havent had any trouble with police so far, but im sure i will and there is always the risk of getting rear ended because they are "too dark" even though they emit more light than regular tail light covers, and you can clearly see them in the day and at night.
But im just wondering what you guys think.

Yeah i like them too, and i dont have to get rid of them, im just throwing this out there.. So should i black out the LED light so it matches or not.

now for a question for ya - are those inserts and badges chrome/polished or are they vinyl (looks too shiny to be vinyl). If they are chrome/polished, where did you get them? thx

They are stainless steel. I got all of mine off the same guy on ebay. He makes great products. But here is another site that has the same stuff.

blackouts look the best, i always wondered though what the rice altezzas would look like with backouts over them, thatd be different, and you really cant get made fun of for having rice tail lights because youll have the blackouts over them

I say stay with the 93+ tail lights and spray a LIGHT coat of the VHT on them just so they are in between the darkout look and the stock light look. I had darkouts on mine until I almost got rear ended like 3 times, that was enough for me to change mine.

I also think that you should have them blacked out. If you decide not to, then the '93-'96 lights are the way to go.
