Shock69, do you know how much cooler your car would look if those wheels were painted white?

 

I've thought about it, but I really dont' give that car the attention that it needs and I know that the white wheels would become discolored very quickly. Now if I could garage it, it would be a different story...Unfortunately for it, the blue car gets the garage. I also think the chrome just looks way too sexy when it's all clean and shiny.

And how hard would it have been to put the 06 after shock69??

 

I like your Z28 much better than the V6, why does the V6 get the garage?

you have a very clean looking car as is IMO. I would change the Z28 and chevy badges on the tail panel to white, and also change the front bowtie to white. You could also try something different with the side badges, get white overlays but leave a black outline (and black lines in the middle) so they are white, but dont necessarily just "blend in." I would definitely get some clear side markers too. Put the SS spoiler on and do an SS hood too if thats your thing. I also agree with the idea for a black billet grille, it would go well with the black tail panel considering both of those things have a slight retro appeal to them.

 

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, if anyone else has any ideas please keep them coming. I've been been going through all of the ideas posted and I'm definately going to pick and choose a few. The side molding and a shorter antenna will be getting modified this week. More to come afterwards.

I'm only 22, but I must be getting old since I'm at the point where I'd rather have my car look nice and run reliably, rather than make it faster.

 

Steve0, that's a good, mature thing at this point. My Z28 is stock and always has been, but right now the cost of maintaining it is getting out of hand. The cost of replacing old rubber hoses, worn out parts, and gaskets is eating my lunch.

You have to make sure you can keep the car running, and it's good that you aren't just trying to make it faster. All the exhaust mods and engine bolt ons might make it fast, but if the car doesn't barely run then you'll be in sad shape!

I saw a Z28 the other day burning so much oil that it was sad... it was loud as hell too, so it was obviously heavily modified.

 

It gets to stay in the garage because it has a pretty expensive stereo system in it, the likes of which have already been stolen once. I also like to keep it clean (I hate birds) since it actually has a complete paint job.

 

Add a SS spoiler and then leave the car as is. That's one really good looking car. If you put to much then you might just kill the look. Less is better.

I would say get rid of the red Z28 emblem on the back and replace it w/ nothing. It looks much better plain if you ask me. Also, change the side badges to old Z28 emblems like off of a 69, they look awesome on a white or black car and only cost like $20 a piece. They would go nicely with your car since you have the old school look going w/ the black tail panel. An SS hood would look good too, but I love the simple look like you have going, you have a great looking car.

 

Shock6906 whats is with those spoilers? they make me want to play freeway tag while cutting my wrist and crying..... change them to an SS spoiler

 

Have you not seen the pictures in my sig? The Z-28 has an LS-1 SS spoiler. The blue car's spoiler is going to stay the same no matter how much heckling I get from the masses.
