The original color is BLUE but I was thinking maybe black? What do yall think?

 

My god, I think it looks orgasmic as is, but if you really want to paint it, my vote goes to blue. Of course, if you're painting it, I'd suggest you put all the badges and emblems back on too, but that's just me.

go with the original color... imo its gonna look good no matter what you decide.

 

My first vote goes for a gloss black with two white stripes.
My second vote goes to yellow with black stripes
My third vote goes to red with white stripes

Thats just my favs but like others have said no matter what color you paint it it is going to look sweet

 

my first choice goes to that 67 z/28 green with white stripe scheme

second choice would be black with sunset orange stripes.

third black with ghosted silver tribal flames

fourth would be black with fire engine red stripes

My first vote would be for Hugger Orange w/ white stripes
Second would be yellow w/ black stripes
Third would be Midnight Blue w/ white stripes

But first-gens kick *** no matter what color they are, so you can't really go wrong here...

Silver, of coarse. It dosn't show dirt as much as a dark color and looks cleaner all the time. You could do some black stipes or purple ghost flames. Show us some pics when you paint it though. It does look awsome as is.

 

I will let ya know. I have to get some stuff for the body before I paint it. I wanted some ideas on color, and thanks for the many opinions Helps alot. My ss had ghost flames and that was cool, my stingray was green with a silver stripe, I am kinda thinking gloss black with a white stripe around the front end. Or something like that. I think stripes (just about every style, hocky stripes, ss stripes, racing stripes) are WAY too overused, if you want your car to stand out I'd say more solid colors, less two toning. My dad's old 69 camaro was one of the best I've seen, It was chevy orange, with white under the doors.

I'd like a nice white, no pearl essence, candy or flake etc. And I'd stay away from chrome, I hate seeing a nice classic camaro with big bling bling flashy rims.

Just my two cents... That jet black primier looks pretty cool to me.

 

I am a black fan myself, however Viper blue is the sexiest color on 60's camaro's with white stripes.
