I'm changine out my LT-1 for a 454 BBC. I'm pulling the motor and trans today. I've got a white car. You can see it in the sig photo. I was wanting to repaint my engine compartment and up under my car. I thought about just going back to white but I'd also like to maybe paint it black. I'd like to make the chrome and stuff for the engine stand out more and I just don't know if painting it white would look as good. Either way I go it's going to be done right, no crappy painting here. Thoughts and opinions.

Here's an example of how my car will look. This is a 502 but I can't find a good photo of a 454.



It just seems like to me that the darker color will make everything stand out more.

i would keep with the white. i think the chrome goodies will shine nicely against it. this also gives you the ability to create more of a contrast w/ maybe a black block, or maybe do some black wrinkle dress up stuff. my .02
