What color is my car?!?
I've recently bought a model of my car, a '96 Camaro Z28 and in order to make a replica I need the correct color. I think it is Mystic Teal Metallic but I'm not sure, a salesman thougth I had Misty Teal Metallic instead which makes me a little confused. I bought the car second hand so I don't know the correct name of the color or the correct color code of course.
Pictures of my car can be seen at: http://www.boopidoo.com
Just enter the "Gallery" and then "My Camaro" which opens a page of clickable thumbnails. I think the pictures that best represent the color of the car is the ones down to the right the other ones are a little bit too blue. The color has unfortunately been a little bit manipulated from the truth by going from reality to digital form. The truth should lie somewhere in-between, not as green and not as blue as some some of the pictures show.
(Note, if you have a pop-up-killer software installed you may have to right-click and select open new window to see the pictures in a larger format.)

What they call it isn't as important as the 2-digit paint color code on the build tag:
1996 paint codes
1996 paint codes

This is true. I just called the GM dealer and the bright teal touchup paint for my 94 Z28 has been discontinuted.
Called my local body shop that did some amazing work on my fiancee's 02 Golf, and they are mixing me a touchup bottle for next to nothing.
You can reorder the EXACT colour 20 - 30 years from now... no issues.
My bright teal is paint code WA37.
Thanks Injuneer for that website!
