Have my motor down now I want to polish up the intake water pump and who knows what else. I have seen some sweet throttl bodies and alternators how do they do it?

 

All I can say right now is 1000 or 2000 grit sand paper and some elbow grease. That's how I did my MAF, and AC canister.

If you want chrome, you might have to have it sent out.

 

80 grit to remove casting flash, 240 grit to smothe out everything, then progress with 400, 600 wet sand, 800 wet sand, 1000 wet sand, 1500 wet sand, 2000 wet sand and finish off with mothers mag polish. Coat with zoops seal as using clear coat will still allow oxidiation.<sp>

I wonder how much a local metal polisher would charge to polish the water pump, accessories bracket, and other misc. parts?
