Wax recommendation

I aquired a new to me car, and it has black paint in pretty good shape. I would like to wax it, but I'm not sure wich type to use. It's a 1988 pontiac 6000 se. There are little surface scuffs by the keyhole ect. Any ideas, and thanks.

Zymol is a pretty good "over the counter" wax. If you put it on thick and in a side to side motion it does a pretty good job of filling small scratches.

However if your scratches are big you might as well use something abrasive and get them out. (ie. buffing compound)
After you get the scratches out use a fine wax over the paint, like gold class or Zymol.
