Water leaks

I have a 1998 SS with T-Tops, and it's been exposed to the torrential downpours that have occurred in my area recently. The lower part of the trunk area, the deep part where the t-tops are stored, is filling with water. Can any of you suggest any trouble-shooting techniques to find the source of the leak and fix it?

Thanks a lot.

Maybe it's leaking from underneath and getting in somehow. I can't think of any other ways it could get in.

Anymore details?

how deep? there is a drain hole benieth the spare tire taht should drain the water out... but you shouldn't have water back there in the first place

get someone to lean over the back seat and look for leaks while you pour water on the rear using a hose.

More details

The drain plugs are in place--I did remove one to get most of the water out. The main gasket on the lower part of the opening looks fine. My guess is it's coming in around the lower edge of the hatch glass, just before you get into the spoiler. The grey plastic trim that sits on the inside of the hatch seems suspicious. Can that be easily removed so I can inspect the glass its installation from inside of the hatch?

Thanks.

Check the rear hatch seal. It tends to leak over time. Just reseal it with adhessive.
