Vinyl on the Kick Panel?

So I'm taking my door panels into a little shop who said they would reupholster them for $50 a panel (gotta love South Tucson). I'm going to have them done in red to match my seats, but what should I do to the kick panel carpet (I have an LT1)?

I've seen other people used color carpet, but I've never been too fond of that idea. How do you think the vinyl would hold up down there?

I just took mine off and dyed it black. Of course that goes with my car and not necessarily yours. I do think vinyl should work pretty well, so long as you don't kick your door panels all the time. Mine get about the same wear as the upper part, and vinyl is fairly tough anyway, so it should withstand a little scuffing, particularly since it's out of the way of the sun.

Thank you. So it turns out I'm going to give it a try myself. I'll make a new thread with pictures after I try it.

It's really nothing too terribly hard, just time consuming.
