Vinyl CAMARO Steering Wheel Letters

Has anyone gotten Vinyl Camaro letters to put in the indentions in the steering wheel? I'm thinking of doing this and was wondering how it is done (sizing and fit and whatnot).
I DONT want to just paint inside the letters on the steering wheel; I want letter inserts. LMK if anybody has done this, or post pics. Thanks,
J

Why are you so set on having inserts? Seems like too much trouble to get vinyl done. It's only gonna cost u like 3 bucks for a paint pen, vinyl will cost you 10 bucks minimum, if they would even make them for you.I did mine in my spare time just put a coat on wiped off excess and when ever I got the chance to do it again, I did.

I dunno, do what you want but IMO seems like your going to a whole lot of trouble for such a small accent...

I want something reversible, not permanent. That's why I want inserts not paint, cuz they're removable if I so choose.

LOL!

I WISH I were at work... my day would have been much easier. Me and some buds ripped about 3000 square feet of shingles off my roof, pulled all the nails, and refelted it yesterday. My sorry butt couldn't get off the couch last night to even come check the board. LOL!

As for the vinyl steering wheel inserts. I'll see what I can do. I'm a little skeptical of them though because it is so small but I'll give it a shot. It may work though... I have been running a little "test" for the past few months... I stuck a vinyl decal on my door panel and it has been sticking great this entire time. Sooo, with any luck the steering wheel inserts will work as well. The vinyl I'd use is the expensive high quality stuff that is very thin and pliable. Yeah, it's weird, the thinner stuff is the expensive stuff. If I have a chance today I'll try to design them and stick some in my own camaro steering wheel and see how they come out.

Well I got vinyn stickers for the front of my camaro for $7 shipped and they are for the camaro indections of the LS1 grills, which are alot bigger than the ones on the steering wheel..so i dont think it will be too expensive... Anyways, I tried a paint pen and it sucked... I finally had to get one of those touch up paint things from autozone and use a toothpick to do it... it took alot of trial and error for me...but when I finally got it complete it looked okay, but no where near professionally done. And the paint looked like a single swipe of my finger could flake it off.

anyways, Im excited about some vinyl inserts. Let us know if it works out brent

Yeah if possible Brent, could you do it in all white?
White would match my painted interior best, especially since the green would be a pita to match.
Keep me/us posted. Thanks again,

I've worked for a sign co for 13years installing signs and vinyl. if you prep it with alcohole and use a heat gun or blow dryer it'll stick. 3M and gerber is good stuff. I've been stickin so much vinyl up lately doing 100 or so bank name change overs and door hours i can't stand it. It'll work fine IMO.

Hey Guys, whatcha think of these...

I put them on with a shop light in the dark and noticed they aren't perfectly centered in there but close enough that only I'll notice. If you have some light to put them on you should get them centered. LOL!

These are a bit of a pain to make because they are so small but they are doable. It is also very important that you clean the areas VERY GOOD with rubbing alcohol. A hint of Armorall or anything else like that and these won't stick because they are so small. I cleaned mine really good with rubbing alcohol and they are sticking just fine.

If anybody wants them it'll be $4 shipped for anybody who sees it in this thread... try to help my buds out here I'll probably put them on my web page for at least $5 because it takes time to exchange email, make them, and get them ready to mail even though the amount of vinyl used is minimal. They really aren't even worth making but since I took the time to design them for the few people in this thread, might as well do something with them. LOL!

Edit: If you do want these, I can only use the ultra high quality vinyl and I only have in that color red, white, black (steering wheel is black though. LOL!), yellow, and silver.
