If you like it, do it! The SS hood isn't strictly for a V8. Look at it as an appearance mod. I say go for it. So long as you don't put like SS badges on and stuff to try and pass it off as an SS then I see nothing wrong with putting an SS hood on for an appearance mod.

At first I was like ehhhh but then Brent does make a good point. I say get it if it makes you happy. Or spend the money on forged internals and get N2O. My friend did that to his 6 and runs with my Z.

I second that. Putting the hood on is for appearance. Putting SS decals on is well............."impersonating". Have you seen the new(er??) Cavaliers?? They have hoods that look like the SS.................doesn't mean they are an SS.

I agree here. I hate seeing V6 cars with "Z28" or "SS" on them. Maybe other people who don't know about cars will think you have an SS, but don't look for any car guy to believe you.

I say go for the SS hood man

If you don't want to "copy" a SS hood try a USBody hood, It has a SS Style Scoop that stands a little taller, and ends in a cowl type scoop. I get a lot of looks!

that looks pretty good. Kinda like an SS hood and a cowl induction look at the same time.

People that don't know anything about cars have no clue what an ss is in the first place. they just see camaro.
