Thats great and I totally understand the quest for better night vision. I'm just saying, for future reference, when using a 9006 there are brighter bulbs out there.

If anyone is going to try this or when time comes for new bulbs Philips has a new bulb (Xtremepower) that is supposedly 80% brighter than other halogen bulbs. The GE Nighthawk and Philips Vision plus both are 50% brighter, but none fo these are advertised as ultrawhite etc.

I did this mod about ten years ago. You might as well do the 4-hi conversion while you're in there.

I'm not sure that I understand. What's the 4 hi conversion?

It makes it so that your regular headlights stay on while your high-beams are on, giving you four bulbs on instead of just two.

You can make the foglights stay on with the high beams. It's been over 10 years since I've done it, but I think you clip and ground a green wire going to the fuse box. I THINK the high beams already stay on with the low beams, but nothing on my car is stock anymore, so I can't tell you for sure.

Yeah the hi's are already on with the lows, that's why I was a bit confused. I might check into the fog light thing tho.
