Ultra Z Hood owners

The shop is putting this hood on my 2002 Z, and has ran into a problem. The hood is sitting a little high around the head lights, it's pushing the hood up around 3/16" above the fenders. It fits very good around the rest of the car, just in this spot is where I am having a problem.

Have any of you had this problem?

UNLESS of course you made the mistake of painting before test fitting... in that case...they probably won't take it back. There should be a way though to move the bump stops down some to make it fit. It might sit a TAD bit low on the fenders, but mine does that. Not really all THAT noticeable. If the airbox is getting in the way...you may have to shave it down some on the bottom too.

Welcome to the wonderful worlf of aftermarket.

heh, its a pain in the butt. Yes its painted already, and it isn't that noticeable. I was thinking I might be able to drop the head lights down.

I saw a bracket that has a slot in it and it is pushed to the very top, I am thinking I can just push the headlight down and reset the angle on the beams. That itself is around 3/16", I can see a gap at the bottom of the headlight so there is room at the bottom to move down.

Thanks for the help guys.
