Question Trim Along the Doors of a T/A

Those pieces of trim that run along the sides of the car are very faded and the paint is chipping off in small sections. Should I have them painted or is it just easier and cheaper to buy new ones? If that's the case, where would I look to buy them? Thanks for the help!

guy i know in a local car club took all of his off. he was having the body painted and just painted over where they used to be. he took the bird off the nose too... makes it look that much more original and different.

i would just get yours painted... they will stripp all that crap off and it will look nice. either way, it all costs money....

I took all of mine and the bird off as well. I love it. My buddy after not seeing my car for 2 weeks saw it from about 20yards away and asked me if I had done something different and that whatever it was it looked good. It does make the car look alot smoother and a little different. I'm now thinking of taking off the emblems aswell.

Thumbs up

Yep, best thing I've done so far is get that door-guard strip off my bird. It's free, drops 2 lbs off the door weight , and looks much cleaner.

The dings never happen there anyway, our cars are too low for other doors to hit there. They were useless urathane than broke up the curves
