tire sizes

I'm looking for some wheels, but I haven't decided what size yet. The price of tires is a determining factor, but I don't know what size tires fit on what size wheels (width). And I'd also like to know the overall height of the tire. Does anyone know of a website with some kind of chart or something that has all this information? Thanks...

Im guessing you have 16 inch rims now, right? If you do then you most likely have 245/50-16, which is on a 16x8in rim. You should jump up to 17x9.5in rim.

The tire size you should go with that will not run into any fitmet problems would be 275-40-17.

www.tirerack.com recomends a tire size depending on what rim you choose.

I wanted to get at least 10" wide on the back, and I wanted to get a little taller tire to offset the low gears for better gas mileage. That's why I needed to know tire height for the different sizes. Anyone have any idea where I can find this info?

the taller and wider the rim the more the tires are.. simple as that..

and if traction is a BIG issue id go with some wide 16s or even 15s

a 45-35 series tire dosent have enough sidewall flex, or not as much as a 50-65 will..
