Hey guys. I am getting my tints done this firday and I was wondering how dark should I get them. I want it to be really damn dark.... but not so dark that it would be hard too see thru them from the inside of the car
How many percent limo tint has ?

Go 5% or 3% if you can. 5% is what I have and it is great!

 

Go as dark as the legal limit for your state allows.
It's a dumb thing to get a ticket for.

For back window, go dark as possible for sure, such a huge surface area, my sides at 20% are as dark probably darker as my back at 5%....

In alot of CA, they straight up give you fine on the spot rather than fix-it ticket. I have not been pulled over yet with 20% on sides, and I know another z28 in town with 5% all around that hasn't been pulled over, but I also know a large amount of guys with lighter tint that have got busted. Heck I was pulled over the other day in my brothers 00SS and the tint wasn't mentioned, although he only has 30%. It is all about luck around here

Maybe it's one of the advantages of living in small town Kentucky, but all of my cars have at least 5% all the way around and my Z24 has two layers of tint- 35% and 5%. Can't see very well at night but it looks cool as hell in broad daylight. I've been pulled over several times and never once have I been asked about my tint. (The trick is to roll both windows down before he catches up and pulls you over.) I wouldn't worry about some minor law like that, it's just a revenue generating law. If they would worry about catching real criminals and not about stuff like this everyone would be better off.
