im thinking about having 35% tint on the front windows and having 15% on the rear ones and rear windshield. online it shows that massachusetts can only have 35% on all those windows, but i see even my dads new gm van and my brothers new f-150 came with 15% in the back from the dealership? would cops not bother about it as long as its not the 5% limo tint?

I'm from CT originally. I had 5% on my 85 Bird... I was not bothered once. But it also depends on how **** your local bacon is. THey see it as their protection. If they pull you over they'd like to know you're not reaching for anything.

I have 15% on my Z28 down here in NM, because it's so hot, they don't have a law on tint.

CMIIW, but the rear is what matters the most.

You can play it safe and just go by the state standard. Or ask the local PD what they advise.

Tho 35% is like having no tint at all.

 

ya i know which sucks, so idk what would be the point of even wasting money on that. i think i should just try goin with the 15% and see if they ever say anything. they actually made my uncle take his off on the town car but that was limo tint, but can you tell a difference of 15% and 5%?

 

aight i got some free 5% tint form a buddy of mine and we plan on puttin it on tomrrow......cops....should not bother you for having tint on the rear window. as the way i see it, you can put 2% or even spray paint your window completly black for what ever reason. they should not bother you you dont need your rear window, i was thinking about this before and there are alot of vechicles that dont even have a back window so why would tinting it black be any different and also trucks gettin those pictures on the back window my friend hasnt been stopped once yet for that. just my two cents on the back window....and for the sides im hittin it with 20% i think it is or 35%...i also believe that you can only do the top 5 inches of the front window not sure tho
