Thoughts on upgrading interior of a 4th gen?
Thoughts on upgrading interior of a 4th gen?
For Me, the biggest complaint with the 4th gen appearance wise has been the cheap miles of gray plastic.
Has anyone tried to do "something" about making the plastic look better or hidning it all together? I was thinking about what it would take to cover the gray plastics with some cloth. Sort of like what GM did with the A-Pillar moldings on the 2004 ~ 2006 GTO.
Would it be feasible to do this on the A-pillars, (maybe) door panels, sail panels, and the trunk plastics of the Camaro? The issues I can think about would be making the panels fit back together once the cloth was stretched, and glued down.
If anyone needs to see some pictures of what I am thinking about I could take some of the GTO's interior to give you a reference point.
So, what are everyone else's thoughts??!?!

This isn't my picture, and isn't the best picture, but here is a shot of a GTO A-Pillar molding:

Here are two more. Note the area of the A-Pillar, B-Pillar, and thearea below the roof line that runs over the top of the rear side window:

I will try to get some better pictures tomorrow when the sun is up.

Look up Camaro Casanova or Camaro Casnova on this message board. He completely shaved down his interior and painted it, it looks great. I believe he leather wrapped everything back in the '90s though, but redid it. His car changed a lot between ~2004 and now.
