Those of you with the ZL1 stripe kit
Those of you with the ZL1 stripe kit
For those of you who have the zl1 stripe kit how hard was it to install? the manufactorer said that it is a PITA and he doesnt recomend it, but i dont see whats so hard about it. The spoiler looks like the hardest part never mind the stinger scoop. Isnt the scoop piece just a single piece? Just peel and place on? Same goes for the spoiler and trunk lid right?

Well, you can do it like that but you'll have tons of bubbles and wrinkles.Take a look here for an idea of what you are up against...

ha - they arent easy at all - i thought same thing "cant be so hard" and put my stripes on my 94- well i ended up spending 8 hours squeeging and slicing bubbles...
now im good at it but that hood kit looks like a PITA... thats why im having it painted on :-D

I mean i bet i could do the rear stripes fine its only 1 stripe i just have to measure it, just spray soapy water on the vinal so it moves, around. The spoiler looks like 3 pieces, top of spoiler, trunk lid, where it meets the hatch glass and finally the lower portion of the trunklid where it meets the rear valance, i was thinking of haveing the stinger painted, but it looks expensive. Atleast 250 for just the scoop. I am gunna e-mail the owner of thirdgendecals to see if he has any pics of the install process. And i havent intalled anything this big before, except some stock stripes and logos on my old Monte SS when i had it.
