If they want to be reak ****** about it they may say something but or the most part they shouldnt care. The only time that they are hard to see is at night so if you get some that are removable then youl be fine.

From what i've read some don't fit to well... so if they don't fit good on mine I'll either possibly try to return them (if I get some locally) or I'll pull out the 3m double sided tape or something... But yeah If they fit good I'll just use them during the spring / day during crusing season and at shows and stuff.

Will do, I'm not in a rush though... Prolly next spring or somethin when I goto autozone or where ever to get some mequairs or somethin'.

my cars black, chrome exhaust right now. I think I am going to get chrome inserts and then chrome slp emblems and then chrome zr1s.

How hot is hot? I'd say 100*F tops....

thats about how it is during the summers here in Texas and the blackouts warped my taillights. not cool. they made a rather large flattened area on both taillights.

Re: Thinking about taillight blackouts...

mine came on the car when i bought it, they go on and off real easy, and fit well. They never come off the car except for when i wash it, or when i park it in a place i do not trust. My tailights arent warped at all, and its not like the car has never baked in the sun for an entire day. I wish i knew what kind they were so i could get the same ones if I ever have the misfortune of having them stolen.

Re: Thinking about taillight blackouts...

I've had mine for almost four years now, and I still haven't gotten a ticket for it, I even got pulled over for no front license plate, and the chp didn't bother about the blackout...I drive through LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) a lot and ever since 9/11 there's been a lot of chp in the area and still no warning or ticket for the blackout. Anyways, I have never had problem with warping or melting on mine, I guess it doesn't get as hot here as in Texas. I like how it cleans up the tail of my car, since my car is black...you can check it out on my sig on page 2 and 3

Depends on your area and the cops in your area. They are not legal anywhere but in "most" places, the cops don't give you problems. But, they CAN if they want to so just be prepared for it if you decide to use them

We've had them on the SS for a while now. No problems what-so-ever. However I would recommend some double sided tape to keep them more secure.
