Question Is there any way to...

Take the white stripe off of the sides of a car?

It's on a '98 Firebird, black paint with white lines going across each side (very thin)...can they be rubbed out somehow or only professionally?

I dont know exactly what you're talking about, but if they are pin stripes, most likely they are stick on. With a lot of patients, you should just be able to peel it off. If you had a heat gun that would work too.

Good Luck

Sounds like a pinstripe.....just pick at a corner of it and then peel the rest off slowly. You can just wash off the residue or there are adhesive removers on the market to clean up the left over sticky stuff.

Thanks a lot everyone...yeah, pinstripe is what it is...it's very thing and starts from the rear, straight to the front and curves down at the end a little

if I knew I could take it off, I'd buy the car I'm looking at..thanks again

I have those on my white camaro...the pinstripe is like a burgandy color.

I'm tempted to...yet am almost afraid to. Doesn't make sense but...bleh.
