Question Technique for applying racing stripes?

I will, probably, be putting 2 vinyl racing stripes (8" each) on my Daytona and was just wondering what the best install technique to get them to stick correctly and last

Put 10 drops of dish soap in a quart of water. Sprays tons and tons of it on the decal as you are putting it on. Use tape to align the stripes. If you have any bubbles, do not rub them. Instead, poke a tiny hole on top and roll the air or water out. Hope this helps.
